We made it to the fair today. I was bummed we couldn't go to church, but was determined we weren't just going to sit around the house. On my Fall Wish List, I have the fair, a pumpkin patch, and the zoo... for starters. Fair, CHECK.
Waiting to get in...
Hello Fall. You are the best. I mean it. I love you.
Overwhelmed by the chickens. I don't blame him. There were a bunch. And they were loud. And smelly.
And aggressive looking.
Cute bunny to counteract the loud, smelly, aggressive chickens.
Jonah and Mommy outside the Petting Zoo barn.
Feeding the animals. He didn't exactly get the concept of "lay your hand flat," so he just threw his pieces over (a skill he mastered yesterday feeding the duck, thankyouverymuch.)
Speaking of throwing things over, "Put me down! I'm goin' in!"
A cow... or something. Close enough. Now, Jonah knows what a duck and a real cow (or something) are.
"Lay your hand flat," and "throw it over" are for babies. I'm a BIG BOY.
A real cow! "Mooooooo."
First lunch: polish sausage and a bloomin' onion. Polish Sausage: 9...
Bloomin Onion: 4 (didn't hold a candle to Longhorn's)
Approval of greasy food with greasy onions and peppers and mustard. Divine.
Second Lunch (about twenty minutes later): Elephant Ear
Second Lunch, The Sequel (only for Matt): a Krispy Kreme Burger.
I wish I was kidding. Two Krispy Kreme doughnuts for buns, cheeseburger, bacon. You could get it dressed with lettuce, tomato, mayo, and mustard too. GROSS.
Matt thought it was good but said he'd only eat it once in his life... just to say he tried it.

(I think I can die fulfilled without mixing my beloved KK original glazed with beef... and pork... and cheese... with the option of condiments.)
Sweet Jonah hanging out while we ate Second Lunch.
Hoping next year he'll be up for eating First and Second Lunch too.
He was an angel and we had a great time. Hooray for the Fair! And Fall! Did I mention I love Fall?
Here is last year's fair post if you want to see how much he's changed.
