I'm totally pumped about something my friend, Katie, is organizing to raise funds for DebRA.
She is organizing an auction in conjunction with Jonah's First Birthday, where you can bid on items and all the proceeds will go to DebRA. More details to come, but essentially the auction will be set up on a blog site, with each item being its own separate entry. And all you'll have to do is sign up to participate and then bid in the comments of each post for whichever items you are interested in. It will run for the five days before Jonah's birthday (February 27th).
So... how can you help?

If you have a company or work for a company that could donate items/gift cards for the auction, that would be so awesome. If we have success this year, we're hoping this can be an annual fundraiser to fund EB research and family advocacy. And if you don't have a "product" you can donate, would your business/corporation consider purchasing and donating a gift card for the auction? For example: One $100 Chili's gift card compliments of PatriceRocks Industries.
You get the idea.
I know a lot of you have said you'd love to do more and just don't know how to help from far away. Well, here you go.
I think this is such a cool idea and I'm so excited I'm literally kinda jittery as I type this.
